These terms apply when you use the Domus Lucis website or buy from us. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to them.
1. Candle safety
Follow the instructions on the label. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep candles away from children, pets, drafts and anything flammable.
2. Your account
If you create an account, keep your login details private. You're responsible for activity under your account.
3. Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may refuse or cancel any order, for example if a product is out of stock, mispriced, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel after you've been charged, we'll refund you in full.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD), and applicable taxes are added at checkout. We work to keep prices and descriptions accurate, but mistakes can happen and we may correct them. Payments are processed securely through Shopify and its payment partners.
5. Shipping and returns
Shipping is covered by our Shipping Policy, and returns and refunds by our Refund Policy.
6. Product information
Scent is personal, and colours and packaging may differ slightly from the photos.
7. Site content
The text, images, logos and design on this site belong to Domus Lucis or our suppliers and are protected by copyright. Please don't copy or reuse them without permission.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use this site for anything unlawful, to interfere with how it works, or to try to access data you're not authorized to see.
9. Third-party links
Our site may link to other websites. We aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Domus Lucis is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages from using this site or our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product involved. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario or Canadian consumer protection law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted when you place an order applies to that order.
