Shipping
Processing time
Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays). You'll get a confirmation email when your order is placed and another with tracking when it ships.
Delivery time
Most orders within Canada arrive within 5 to 10 business days after they ship. Delivery times are estimates and can be affected by carrier delays, weather or holidays.
Rates and destinations
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. We currently ship within Canada.
Tracking, lost or damaged packages
You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships. If tracking hasn't updated in 5 business days, or your package arrives damaged or goes missing, email us with your order number and we'll make it right.
Please double-check your address at checkout. We can't be responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address entered by the customer, but contact us right away and we'll do our best to help.
Returns & Refunds
30-day returns
You can return items within 30 days of delivery for a refund to your original payment method. Returns are accepted only if the candle is unburned, unused and in its original packaging. Candles that have been lit can't be returned unless they're defective.
Damaged, defective or wrong items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or wrong, email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We'll send a replacement or a full refund, including shipping, at no cost to you.
How to start a return
- Email us with your order number and the item(s) you'd like to return.
- We'll reply with return instructions and the return address.
- Once we receive and inspect the item, your refund is processed within 5 to 10 business days.
Please contact us before sending anything back, since returns sent without approval can't be processed.
Return shipping
For change-of-mind returns, the customer covers return shipping and original shipping is non-refundable. For damaged, defective, or incorrect items, we cover all shipping.
Terms of Service
By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Orders and pricing. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). We may cancel an order if a product is mispriced or out of stock; if you've already been charged, you'll get a full refund.
Payment. Payments are processed securely through Shopify and its payment partners. We never see or store your full card details.
Candle safety. Follow the instructions on the label. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep candles away from children, pets, drafts and anything flammable.
Site content. The text, images, and design on this site belong to Domus Lucis or our suppliers and can't be copied without permission.
Liability. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product involved. Nothing here limits your rights under consumer protection law.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. We may update these terms from time to time; the version posted when you order applies.
